The Twin Eagle Staffs (East Campus and West Campus) were a gift from Elders Ernie and Charlotte Kwendibens. The Twin Eagle Staffs were named “Geniin Naamay Giizhig” which means “under the sky” representing our NOSM University students learning everything under the sky. Four colours on each Eagle Staff represent the medicine wheel. Eagles soar in peace so these Twin Eagles Staffs must be kept away from high-traffic areas. | “Nsidwaamjigan” is a ceremonial object created to open NOSM University convocations. Nsidwaamjigan means “it recognizes achievements” in Anishnawbemowin. | Indigenous culture can be seen on the walls. The Indigenous wall mural was done by Shelby Gagnon. | NOSM University Beaded Medallions are gifted to honour someone for their contribution and commitment to the legacy of NOSM University. |
