Purpose

To recognize and express appreciation for the service of Northern Ontario School of Medicine staff at milestones in their careers through a recognition program.

Eligibility

All permanent full- and part-time staff will be eligible for NOSM Years of Service recognition. Years of service will be counted from the date of hire when an employee commences permanent employment with NOSM. Only continuous employment will be counted to determine the Years of Service recognition.

Awards

The Years of Service awards will be earned by staff in the calendar year and will be given out annually at the Awards of Excellence event in January or February of the following year.

Service Milestones

Staff who complete the following years of service will be recognized: 5, 10, and 15 years of service. To celebrate this milestone, and to express appreciation, eligible staff members will be presented with a years of service pin, as well as the opportunity to have special recognition on their NOSM name badge, business card, and office name plate.
