Meet our Residents
Welcome to Our Inaugural Residents
We are excited to introduce the very first residents of NOSM U Urology. We are confident we have found the perfect match in these two outstanding individuals.
Being part of a new residency program offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to its growth and evolution. We look forward to supporting our residents as they embark on this remarkable journey and work alongside our faculty to advance urological education and care in Northern Ontario. Welcome to the team!
Dr. Amy Beevor-Potts was born and grew up in Salmon Arm, BC. She attended the University of Calgary studying Biomedical Sciences and Bioinformatics. She then moved to Vancouver to attend medical school at the University of British Columbia, from which she graduated in 2023. Amy spent the last year as a family medicine resident at UBC with a specific interest in Indigenous Health and worked in Vancouver’s Downtown East side. She’s extremely excited to be coming to Ontario and to be joining NOSM’s Urology Residency Program. Outside of the hospital, you can find Amy on the nearest hiking trail with her husband and their dog, Pepper, at home baking or working on endless crafting projects.
Dr. Denis Rompotinos is originally from Montreal, where he completed his medical school at McGill University in 2023. During his studies, he was elected as President of the Medical Students’ Society and volunteered as a student ambassador. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science at McGill University, focusing his thesis on non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.
In his free time, Denis is an avid reader and a fan of the Harry Potter series. He enjoys listening to and discovering new musical artists. He also likes to spend time outdoors, exploring green spaces and hiking.
