A Message from the Program Director
The NOSM University Orthopedic Surgery program is a developed, comprehensive learning experience that is designed to prepare residents for a successful career in orthopedic surgery. The program provides our residents with exposure to the practices of orthopedic surgeons in regional clinical settings throughout Northern Ontario. Residents can expect to gain valuable experience in diverse areas of clinical practice, as a large portion of the training takes place in a northern rural environment. Residents will benefit from this distributed learning approach with additional experiences and proficiency in subspecialty areas that are integral to community practice.
