NOSM Board of Directors Seeks New Members
The Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) is seeking five (5) individuals to join the Board of Directors in September 2015. Since its official opening in 2005, the School has developed and delivered a distinctive model of distributed, community-engaged, and socially accountable medical education and research. NOSM serves as the Faculty of Medicine of Lakehead University in Thunder Bay and the Faculty of Medicine of Laurentian University in Sudbury, with teaching and research sites across Northern Ontario. On the first day of the two-day meeting, Board members heard presentations from NOSM Associate Deans on the topics of faculty engagement, research ethics, patient safety and simulation in health care, and community engagement.
