Today, the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) launches a new Indigenous Health Practitioner Pathway program made possible through a generous donation from RBC Future Launch. Increasing the number of Indigenous health-care professionals in Northern Ontario is a key part in the provision of culturally appropriate care in the region. Applications open January 18, 2021 for NOSM’s Master of Medical Studies program. Throughout the course of your studies in the MMS program, you will gain foundational research skills in order to answer pressing health care questions. Program coursework focuses on developing the necessary skills to acquire grant funding, obtain ethics approval, and develop a research project and appropriate methodology.
