I am starting my sixth month on the job and with my extensive travel and meeting schedule, I realise that now is the time to take stock and role model better self-care. Time is our most precious commodity. I recommend consciously making time to practice self-care. The Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) was created as a result of advocacy in our region, to realize access to quality health care for all Northern Ontarians. The year 2019 marks an important milestone for the School. Ten years ago, NOSM celebrated the MD Charter Class graduation and the completion of the first cohorts of Family Medicine residents and students of the Northern Ontario Dietetic Internship Program (NODIP).
