Hello, NOSM University! Allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Dr. Michael Green, but most people call me Mike. It is my great honour to be back in the North, this time as President, Vice-Chancellor, Dean, and CEO of NOSM University. As you may already know, Northern Ontario holds a special place in my heart. I spent eight wonderful years as a family doctor in Moose Factory and Kashechewan, and I have seen firsthand how important NOSM University is to improving access to health care. I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we've shared over the past five years. Here's the thing: being the President, Vice-Chancellor, Dean and CEO of NOSM University has been one of the greatest honours of my career. It is with a mix of pride and sadness that I prepare to embark on a new chapter. When I first joined NOSM, I was immediately struck by the unique spirit of this institution. Summer is here! While we enjoy the many splendors of Northern Ontario this time of the year, I am also taking a moment to breathe and reflect. As you may have heard by now, I will stay on with NOSM University until October 31, 2024, and then Dr. Michael Green will take over as the next President, Vice-Chancellor, Dean, and CEO of NOSM University. I have known Mike for decades, and I can honestly say I am delighted by his appointment.
