Provost and Vice President, Academic

Céline Larivière (PhD) is NOSM University’s inaugural Provost and Vice-President Academic. Since February 1, 2023, she has served as the Chief Academic Officer of the University and is responsible for institutional planning and academic administration of all education programs, involving students, academics, members of senate and governance committees. She also leads the conceptualization, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic programs and services.  In this role, Dr. Larivière is collaborating with medical and health sciences educators and leaders to achieve health equity for Northern Ontario rural, remote, Indigenous and Francophone communities and beyond. She has over 22 years of experience as an administrative and educational leader in the higher education sector.
