NOSM’s Offer Fair and Competitive
The Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) is disappointed that the OPSEU Staff Unit members rejected the tentative collective agreement that was mutually agreed to by NOSM and the OPSEU Staff Unit negotiating teams earlier this month. NOSM is confident that the tentative collective agreement contained terms that were fair and equitable, and responded effectively to the issues raised by the OPSEU Staff Unit at the bargaining table. At this time, no further negotiation dates are scheduled. Talks held this week (September 30 – October 3, 2010) in Sudbury between the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) and the School's Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) Staff Unit have resulted in a tentative settlement of a first collective agreement between the parties. The deal is subject to ratification by OPSEU Staff Unit’s members, and approval by NOSM’s Board of Directors. Further details will be available at that time.
