Theme 3 Committee Member (Social and Population Health) Apply Online!

The Theme 3 Committee Member reports to the Associate Dean, Undergraduate Medical Education.
Responsibilities
- Attend all Theme Committee meetings.
- Between Theme Committee meetings:
- Write/review theme objectives;
- Write/review theme assessment questions; and
- Review module cases for theme content.
- Act as the Chair designate on different committees as assigned by the Theme Chair.
- Content expertise in one of the following areas:
- Health and the climate crisis, and disaster preparedness, emergency response, and recovery as per the Medical Council of Canada (MCC) objectives for population health;
- Health inequities and discrimination/oppression/racism in healthcare among those who are homeless or housing insecure, members of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, and individuals with disabilities and/or substance use disorders.
Qualifications
Education
- MD or PhD
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have a faculty appointment at NOSM University
- Preference will be given to NOSM University faculty residing in Northern Ontario
Language
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbally, written and comprehension)
- French/Indigenous language skills would be considered asset
Remuneration
- As per the stipendiary faculty remuneration process
Time Commitment
- One (1.0) day per month
