Giving Tuesday

On December 3rd, 2024 we celebrate Giving Tuesday, a day celebrated around the world as a time to support causes closest to you.

As we approach NOSM University’s 20th anniversary, we invite you to celebrate this milestone. Join NOSM University’s Inaugural class of 2009 in contributing to a cause that’s close to their hearts: the 2009 NOSM Charter Class Bursary. Think about the difference this bursary will make for future medical learners. It’s a chance for us to support the next generation, helping them to pursue their dreams and contribute to healthcare in our communities, regardless of financial barriers.

Our students graduate with nearly twice the debt of students at other medical schools in Canada. It’s not because we’re more expensive: it’s because we recruit from the North, for the North, and typically, people in the region don’t have access to the same financial and social means as students in the south.

As Canada’s first, and only independent medical university we train doctors in the North, for the North and for the advancement of care across Canada. This Giving Tuesday we are dedicated to helping our students succeed.

Together we can help give aspiring doctors the support they need to live, learn, and most importantly stay in the North.
